Like our dispensers, these round little hand blown glass oil lamps are designed so they will not fall over. They hold liquid paraffin oil that can burn for several days if you fill to the top, but that is not really necessary. Just a few inches of oil will keep a nice flame burning for several hours. The best oil to use is the smokeless odorless oil, as this will not burn a sooty flame or smell bad. Look for the “Lamplight Farms Ultra Pure Candle and Lamp Oil” which is 99% pure liquid wax paraffin. You can find this at your local grocery or craft store in the candle department. Another nice feature about our lamps is that you never have to replace the wick since it is made of fiberglass rather than cotton and will not burn up. The wick just absorbs the lamp oil and gives off a clean, smokeless, odorless flame. Be sure to keep the wick at ¼” above the glass to burn a nice small flame. The size of the flame can be adjusted taller by extending the wick further above the glass insert.
