Ranch Burger and Fries

This piece was inspired by a gallery theme show entitled “Inedible Edibles”.  We were asked to create something out of glass that was representative of our favorite food. The burger and fries were extremely fun to make and something different from our normal product line. It was a sculpture we had never tried before. Every item on the plate was made from hot glass right down to the blob of ketchup! The burger parts were assembled using white silicone to look like mayonnaise. Some sandblasting and oil paint was used in select areas of the piece to give certain parts a more realistic look.
